From the East Midlands or South via the M1

Approx travel time from M1 is 45 minutes.

1. Leave the M1 north of Sheffield at Jct 35A (signed to Manchester).
2. Take the A616 over two islands.
3. After approx. 11 miles go over next island (ignoring sign left to Manchester).
4. Continue on A616 to New Mill, passing over a narrow bridge, then turn left onto A635 to Holmfirth.
5. Continue over the ridge and descend into Holmfirth.
6. At the T junction, turn left then follow the road to the right.
7. Turn left at the lights, then at "Compo's Cafe" fork right on A635 to Greenfield.
8. Continue over Saddleworth Moor, descend into Chew Valley, passing signs to Dovestone Reservoir.
9. Continue until you approach the mini island and take a sharp left U-turn into Tanner Brothers Mill.
10. Follow the TAG signs to the rear of the Mill.
