The Buddy-2 now features a lockable pulley, giving a firctionless 2:1 ratio lifting action and a super-compact size. The TAG Buddy is a unique knee loop for preventing suspension trauma after a fall and during rescues. A padded sling fits under the knees of the casualty, and multi-purpose adjustable tether then connects the sling to the harness, lanyard or ropes of the casualty, or even to nearby structures. It will connect directly to karabiners, eyebolts or lanyards with an integral snaplink karabiner, or fasten around steelwork or bars. Fully adjustable for all sizes and positions, this device can be easily fitted by the fallen climber or their rescuer, and allows a safe position to be created. Abseilers and technical rescuers can also use the Buddy-2 as a 2:1 casualty pulley system for mid-rope rescue!
